Extra Singing Tips Pt. 1

Quite honestly here, whether you like it or not, as a singer (I'm not mentioning a studio recording artist but everyone who sings), you must know a little bit theoretics of music. Today I'm gonna talk about the music notes. I'm sure if you know all these and get used to it with a very practical singing, note hitting is not a trouble for you. But problems such as singing too "flat" or "sharp" are very common and not easy to catch, even a professional singer can have such problems. In order to correct this kinda singing errors, a musical instrument such as piano is often used.

A full scale starts from C and ends up with B. Forget about the black notes(# and b), the white notes are commonly used to measure your vocal range. An octave is equivalent to 8 notes, C1(Do 1) to another C2(Do 2). Normally, mid range or the most comfortable range of a man voice is around 3rd octave of piano (one octave lower than Middle C or C4 on piano). Whilst mid range of a woman voice is around 4th octave or Middle C of piano.
